First Presbyterian Church of Granbury follows its roots in the community back to the 1850s. The land that the current structure stands on was purchased in 1892 and the building was completed in 1896. Additional historic information can be found on our History Page.
“I have been blessed by the call to Granbury and the hand of God has been felt and observed in the details of the match. It is a deep honor to walk alongside of you and journey together with Jesus. In 18 years of ministry, I have been blessed. Some of the highlights have been worshiping, sharing, celebrating saints, youth outings, leading in crises, and officiating weddings and baptisms. I’m excited by new partnerships in Granbury within the church and the community, and give gratitude to God for calling!”
Hi! My name is Gail Deckert and I am excited to serve FPC of Granbury as your administrative assistant. I relocated to Cleburne after my husband, Dan, retired in 2020. We have one son and daughter-in-law and a granddaughter who live in Fort Worth and we are thrilled to be close to them. I hope to serve you for a very long time.
Priscilla, a retired music teacher and school administrator, has worked with church choirs, either as director or participant, most of her life. A new resident of Granbury, formerly from Dallas, she is thrilled with the opportunity to conduct the dedicated group of singers that makes up the FPC choir.
