Our church library was started with approximately 50 books, most donated, and the beginning of The New Interpreter’s Bible Series. This series is now complete and is a wonderful reference resource.

Donations are accepted – members and friends may give books as gifts in honor or in memory of a loved one. If you wish to do this, please speak to Sheila Higgins.

The library is available for quiet reflection and study and you are invited to peruse our selection and utilize the quiet space.

In this age of information at our fingertips, the church library is no longer being utilized as much as in past years, so your library committee has been hard at work thinking of new ways to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Prison Book Ministry

To this end we have prayerfully formed a Prison Ministries Bookstore that serves inmates at Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmates.  Currently we have 15 men and one woman who request and receive books from us based on their interests and our current availability of titles.  We work hard to abide by TDCJ rules and regulations.  We have, to date, sent more than 100 titles, and especially target “lockdown” when inmates are in their cells for many hours a day and the unit library is not open.  If you have books you would like to donate, or would like to help send cards and letters, you may contact Nancy Worcester at 817-578-0478 or nancybw@gmail.com

Additionally, if you know of a prisoner who would benefit from this ministry, please let us know. We will be happy to add him or her to our list. We will, of course, keep this information completely confidential.
And as you pray, remember those imprisoned for you are thereby doing unto the Savior.
