Our program covered the prevalence of suicide, the risks associated with higher rates of suicides and the warning signs of someone who might be suicidal. The talk ended with some local information on the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) which provides emergency intervention in any suicidal situation in the 6 counties served by the Pecan Valley Centers. The Crisis Services are available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year by calling 1-800-772-5987 and referrals can be made by the person himself, families, schools, businesses or law enforcement.
