Sunday January 25th Worship Bulletin

The Property and Worship Elder joined me in making a wise decision to cancel our ‘in seat’ morning worship for January 25, 2026.

Attached is the worship bulletin for January 25, 2026, and I encourage everyone to open the bulletin, read the scriptures, study the liturgy, and have morning prayer in your households.

I will upload a sermon snippet for Sunday that will be placed on Facebook.

Granbury Candlelight Tour

Friday December 5th – Sunday December 7th

This is a time when Texas hospitality is irrepressible and the gracious people of Granbury welcome visitors into their historic private residences for the  Annual Granbury A Candlelight Holiday Tour of Homes.  First Presbyterian, the oldest church in Hood County and in the Historic District, is one of the official stops on the tour:  December 5-7.  Live Music throughout the evening of December 5 and Saturday, December 6 (local and state choral groups, bands, and orchestras are all featured).

Granbury, Texas, a place where Texas history lives every day, celebrates its culture once a year in a truly magical way. For the Granbury Candlelight Tour of Homes, the community bands together in an assemblage of lights, carols, Christmas treats, and carriage rides. Moreover, a selected group of citizens open their private, historic homes to the public. Between volunteer docents and the owners themselves, a story unfolds of each home’s rich and unique story. This year, Texas historical sites such as the Hood County Courthouse, the Granbury Opera House, and the Nutt House Historic Hotel will be included on the tour, as well as Granbury museums and historic churches.  First Presbyterian Hosts local and state bands and choral groups as part of this December 5-7 annual event.  As the oldest church in Hood County, a registered landmark, stop by to see the vintage church sparkle and get into the festive spirit.
