Presbyterian Women Meeting 9/13/19 at 10 AM

On September 8, 2019 we returned to our two service schedule and celebrated with a potluck lunch after the second service.

We also looked back at some of our memories in a video slideshow.
Membership in PW circles is open to all women of the church. Please call circle leaders for more information.
This week we sang a hymn titled “We Come to You for Healing, Lord.” The words, written in 2002 by a minister, speak so eloquently what we sometimes struggle to ask of God during our time of difficulty.
We had GREAT week going to Mars and Beyond with our Vacation Bible School this summer. We had 28 kids at 24 volunteers who made our week out of this world.

On Sunday, July 21st, we celebrated Pastor Drew’s 6th anniversary as our beloved Pastor at First Presbyterian Church, Granbury. We are honored and delighted to have him serve our congregation.

Jerry Althouse surprised us all with one of his poem’s in Drew’s honor.
We also took a Family Photo of the congregation after our joint 10 am service, a replication of the photo we took 6 years ago when Pastor Drew joined our church.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR (Full-time)
First Presbyterian Church, Granbury, Texas
FPC is a happy and vibrant congregation of over 300 members in the historic and growing lakeside town of Granbury, about 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth. We are a dynamic worshipping community with a wide range of local ministries. The Associate Pastor will assist our senior Pastor, Drew Travis, in his overall duties. A person with a collaborative and compassionate character is needed to assist the elders and pastor with the leadership of the congregation in the 11 areas of ministry.
Be part of God’s work in our church and community. View our MIF #08746.AB1 on the PCUSA CLC website and send your PIF to: granburyapc@gmail.com.
The good neighbor is the one who responds to those in need without asking questions about the needy person’s credentials.
The good neighbor looks beyond color and race and flag and ideology and language and history and responds simply because there is a need.
The good neighbor doesn’t allow the letter of the law to keep them from responding in mercy.
